About

Focusing on the limits and possibilities of ethics and justice in international relations.

I have dedicated my career to promoting a shared understanding of complex ethical issues related to global poverty, the use of force, climate justice, and the promotion of human rights.

Thierry Senechal

My approach centers on justice as a process of inquiry and dialogue about the humane dimensions of life and what sort of society we really want to live in.

I was trained in political philosophy (Columbia) and completed graduate work in public policy and decision science (Harvard, London Business School, and MIT).

The course aims to develop knowledge, skills, and strategies to enable students to examine high-stakes moral dilemmas, understand their complexity, and take meaningful action to remedy them. It seeks to answer the following question: Where do norms of moral behavior and considerations of ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ help arbitrate hard choices?
